CD / DVD Multi-Disc Slipcase Sets
-
Why add a slipcase?
No matter what product we are making for you, we can easily create a slipcase for it. Single unit slipcases help present a title and give it value (not to mention the fun you can have with effects!). Slipcases for multidisc units serve to bundle them together into one box set, proviiding a single, wide spine for titling.

Slipcase Styles
There are basically three types of slipcase:
Full, Side-Loading Slipcases—These are what we normally think about when we think "box set." The full slipcase has one long spine, which is usually a tuck-in flap, and the packaging slides in from the side.
Side-Loading Tube—These are great for dressing up a thinner package, such as a single tray traypak, which has a spine of about a quaarter inch.
Top-Loading Tube—These are popular with both types of standard DVD packaging (traypak and amaray), although amaray cases probably see more top loading slipcases, since the amaray spine has to be read through the vinyl of the case itself.

Movie Box Sets — 7 1/2 inch high Slipcase Sets
Why do we think of tall when we think of DVD movie packaging? Maybe it's DVD's ancestor, the old VHS tape.
The two most popular DVD packaging types — Traypaks and Amaray cases — have very similar dimensions to the VHS, All except the thickness.
-
Music Box Sets — 5 inch height Slipcase Sets
Well, now let's skip over 8-track and cassette tape, and jump right to records. They were (and still are!) round, and came in square packages. CDs are round, and if they're for music, they're usally put into square (ok, squarish!) packages.
-
Extras — Lined Slipcases, Diecut Windows
For a really deluxe feel, you can make the slipcase walls double thick, with full printing on the inside.
You can add custom touches, like diecut windows that reveal artwork on the packaging inside (for lined slipcases, you can put special art onm the inside if the slipcase that only shows when you take the package OUT of the slipcase.
